WhatsApp is introducing a feature of “Group Chat Polls”

WhatsApp is adding a new feature that makes it easy to ask friends what they think. These polls will start in group chats but could be applied to personal chats as well. The idea is to quickly engage the crowd and see what the general consensus is. For instance, if you’re hosting a party and want to know whether guests prefer red wines or white wines, you could ask them right then and there.

WhatsApp was designed and developed with security in mind—this means that it is end-to-end encrypted, so only the chat participants can see the polls and their results. With this new addition to the messaging app, brands will also have a new tool for engaging consumers and their customers in a meaningful way.

A user can ask questions by adding polls as shown in the above screenshot (WABetainfo reported). The new WhatsApp feature is still under development, but it will be available in the near future.
