According to Dawn, Mohib Mirza emphatically denied that the production of Ishrat Made in China had anything to do with the sitcom. “It is purely a commercial film.” When asked to define what he meant by ‘commercial’ in this context, he replied, “Songs, action, comedy, romance—you would not have seen such action sequences [in Pakistani films],” adding that he was satisfied with the end result of his effort. The renowned actor & director Mohib Mirza was also confident about the future of Pakistani Cinema.

Sanam Saeed said ‘I needed a change for myself and fans’ by playing the role of “Akhter” in the movie.
